Where to plant Leucanthemum goldrush?

an elderly friend of mine had ordered some plants mail order, now that they have arrived he doesnt know where to plant them.
He has three leucanthemum goldrush, does anyone know if they like sun on shade and what kind of soil they need

They are not at all fussy about soil as long as it is not too poor or too dry or too wet. They like full sun, but they will take shade as long as it is not too much. They keep their yellow colour longer in dappled shade. Used to be called Shasta Daisies by the way.
