I have dug up three tree lilies from my late sister's garden - they are enormous bulbs - managing to leave them in the ground until now, but do I need to put any type of fertilizer under them when I plant them? They are going in the border.

Previous question
I put bone meal and a small drop of chicken pellets. This is more out of my tradition than need. I would say free draining soil and full sun are more important for tree lillies.
