Any idea whats going on with this Uva fragola?

was received mail order about three foot high
potted on into a 15" container with leafmould and kitchen compost
in the following 4 weeks grew to about 15 foot
two weeks ago chopped back to 6 foot

now these blotches and dry patches have appeared on some of the leaves.

its been living indoor in a conservatory

could it be overwatering? or perhaps a disease transferred from pruning?
