I have fushia bushes which have flowered profusely each year but this year the bushes are spare, flowers limited and the leaves seem to be covered in what looks like rush spots. Looking for advice.

some varieties of fuchsia in our garden have done less well than usual and others have excelled themselves - probably the weather suits some more than others.
Try Googling "Fuchsia rust images" and see if this is what yours look like.

Not sure what you mean by 'rush' spots. Photographs would be helpful, but have you been watering them this year, given how hot it was back in July?
