Thanks to you also Grandmage. It's been flowering now for at least a couple of weeks. It's a very long established shrub, probably 20 years old. I prune it back strongly every year otherwise it goes out of control. It really likes the heavy clay soil we have in Bedfordshire. Thanks again

It looks like Weigela 'Bristol Ruby', a beautiful shrub.

It's a weigela Florida pink. It's not Bristol ruby as that has dark ruby-coloured flowers.
