Will you grow it in the ground or in a pot?
If in a pot use a good compost that retains moisture but drains well.
Are you growing it from seed or using a young tree?
If a young tree:
When the tree reaches the height that you want, pick out the growing tip and the tree will produce more branches.
Repot the tree every year. Take out of pot, trim roots by a 1/4, place fresh compost in bottom of pot, replace tree and put fresh compost around tree, fill to base of tree water well. Make sure there are no air pockets around roots. Start feeding 1month after repotting with 1/2 strength plant food every 2 weeks
