Hi everyone, We have an Arbutus unedo tree that has suffered quite a lot this last winter and large areas of its leaves have died - does anyone know if new growth will take place if we pruned these areas. We have already pruned quite a lot off to tidy up where the winter winds had taken off large parts of branch.
A problem is that the dead & unsightly parts are right at the top and will be difficult to reach esp as we dont have a long ladder! Thanks for any advice given.

It's always a good idea to remove dead growth from any plant, cutting back to live wood. The dead is dead, and won't magically revive, so looks like a ladder might be seriously in order, lol!

How do I say thanks?
