I dunno which question you mean (maybe the anemone one?), but lavenders don't suffer from smut. About the only thing they get is Lavender Shab, and if its that, you need to remove and dispose of the plant. Otherwise, is your plant near some trees that drip sticky stuff?

No it was in a pot on the patio but I have isolated it in case. I guess I should dispose of it then, thanks.
