conifers going brown

i have 2 conifers that are 3 years old i bought them when they were just one foot high they are now 6 feet high,but after this winter they are starting to turn brown,i have not moved them ,and feed them well, could anyone help please

I agree with Wyeboy, they are not getting enough water now they have grown.

This is Cupressus macrocarpa "Gold crest". They suffer a lot from a winter damage. they need protection from winds from north.But this is a small pot for them, they need space. Give the root space.

I think it is pot bound and needing either a larger pot or planting in the ground.
