i have just built a small waterfall without the pond, just a resevoir for the pump to sit in. i am now wondering what to do with building up the sides of the waterfall and what plants to put in. it is a four tier waterfall. any help gratefully received.

Hi. The obvious plants are ferns, hostas, gunnera and such like but it depends on whether you're going for a formal look or something more natural.
Take a look at the GoY photos fow waterfalls, ponds etc for ideas or try an Internet search for 'waterside plants'
