I've been trying to grow both chilli and sweet peppers and they are being eaten to bits but I can't spot buy which pest.
They are kept up high and haven't seen any snails near and the holes bitten are too small.
Has anyone got advice please, especially how to stop it happning!

Could be pepper maggot flies. They are small flies with a striped yellow thorax and dark stripes on the wings (this is the male), the female appearance is a nondiscript dusky brown. When the male lands it does an attraction dance by walking around in semicircles continually spreading open and closing its wings. Try a fine netting over the plants. My neighbor grows vegetables and I see them often. This answer is based on USA gardens.
