I seem to recall your canary palm is in a pot - increase watering, it may just be too dry at the roots, although occasional leaves at the bottom do turn brown and die back. Brown tips probably means not enough water - I'm assuming the pots have drainage so excess water can get out. The other cause of leaf browning or marking is too much wind, but if its just the tips, more likely its a water problem.

So long as the water can drain out, even if the holes are small, you can't over water, so when its dealing with hot sun, give it a good canful when you do water.

If the compost feels damp to the touch, or at least not dried, then don't water. Every other day might be enough in hot sun, depending how big the pot is, see how it goes.
