Does anybody know what tree this is? It is in my daughters garden, about 2 meters high and full of flowers.
My first thought was Davidia involucrata, handkerchief tree.
The leaves are different though, not serrated and there is quite a lot of pink in the white. Would love some info on this one.
Thanks

My guess would be Cornus kousa - there are a few different varieties.

My first thought was Cornus tree type too, very nice, lucky them.

Thank you very much ladies, i agree having looked it up.
Most likely the Cornus Kousa var Chinenses as this one has the bracts showing pink when they age. Indeed a lucky girl.
It is a real stunner.
Now I'll have to try and take a cutting and save seeds to have a go. Have to do some research.
How exiting!
