I have dill, fennel, greek basil, chillies, oregano and tarragon potted up & doing fine.

What is your recommendation re winter in order to keep the alive & well? Indoors / greenhouse / other?

the fennel, oregano and tarragon will be okay outside all winter, though the tarragon will benefit from a bit of shelter from damp weather. Both the fennel and the tarragon will lose their leaves in winter though. Dill is an annual and needs to be grown yearly, you might be able to keep your basil going by bringing it indoors, and the chillies you will need to grow again next year.
