Does a monkey ball vine need to be planted in shade or sun?

Answers

Hi, welcome to GoY, I presume by monkey ball vine, that you're refering to Dioscorea bulbifera, a member of the yam family, they like a humous rich moist but well drained soil, in partial shade, but be very careful with it, as it can grow up to 70 feet in a season, I don't know where in U S A you are, but it is very invasive in Florida, Derek.

Hi, just make a hole slightly deeper than the tuber, and drop it in, the roots will go down, and the shoots will go up, and up, and up, and up, good luck, Derek.
