I have been gifted a hydrangea in a 3L pot.It is only about 8 inches high with several buds.How do the plant people get them like that.When Itry with cuttings they just grow up and up.

When you have a cutting that doesn't branch out lower down you can just nip out the growing point as you would with a fuchsia for example.
