Identification?

Could anyone help with identifying this plant please? I bought it at a church sale and it was just green leaves until about 10 days ago when it transformed into this!! Thanks.

It could be a Bromeliad. I have one called Bilbergia which is very simmilar to this. Not exactly like it but very simmilar.
