They're good for keeping blue hydrangeas blue.

They're mineral rich, mostly and acidifying. You can use them neat round acid loving plants, but don't over do it because of the mineral content. Good to incorporate in a compost heap.

There are useful amounts of phosphorus and potassium in spent coffee grounds, so why waste this. They also contain nitrogen and a small amounts of calcium, magnesium, copper, and other trace minerals, carbohydrates, sugars, some vitamins, and obviously some caffeine.

They are good for acid loving plants like tomatoes, roses, azaleas and blueberries. They are also good for evergreens, camellias, avocados, and some fruit trees.

An added benefit is that if used in a mulch they will deter slugs and snails and the best thing is that it's organic.
