I have a delphinium that has flowered for the past 2 years, getting bigger over the two years.

When should I be seeing growth?

Hi, I would have thought, that you would be able to see signs of growth by now, especially as you're in london, it's pretty warm down there, try gently scraping a bit of soil away, if you know exactly where they are, see if there are any signs of growth, Derek.

Me and a friend have both lost our delphiniums this year - not a sight of them.

O.K. thanks. I will carefully remove some soil.

Hi, it could be the very wet winter we've had, Delphiniums like very well drained soil, the don't like wet feet, Derek.

Slugs are also very attracted to the new foliage as it appears - could this be the cause Alex?

It may be the wet winter. I don't think slugs are to blame.

I managed to find some dirty foliage when I carefully brushed the soil away.

How do I say thanks?
