I haven't heard of this variety before,so I googled it,and it seems to need to be pruned back quite hard,to new buds,as it flowers on new wood, not on old..Bearing in mind this was an American forum, but all suggestions gave similar care..hope this helps..

Rosie Jo - new one to me as well so I looked it up in a Clematis book of mine - agree with Bloomer's advice. It's a viticella variety, Group 3 Clematis so should be pruned in late Winter/early Spring when buds show signs of growth. It looks very pretty with nodding bell-shaped pinky/lilac flowers and does not suffer from Clematis wilt. Hope it flowers well for you.

I have this lovely clematis, it has blue/mauve bell-shaped flowers. I pruned mine quite hard back to lowest signs of growth a couple of weeks ago and gave it some feed. It is already putting on more new shoots.
