Fatsia japonica-should I remove flowers?

Fatsia japonica-should I prune (remove) the flowering stalk, which has flopped over? Shrub planted by landscapers in October. Very healthy, but I'm not sure how to look after it.

Hi, welcome to GoY, I would remove the flower stalk when it's finished flowering, it will probably want to produce seed, but you want more leaves, they don#t need much attention other than this, as long as your soil is reasonably fertile, just let it get on with it, Derek.
