do camelias need to be protected from the frost, i have just received one in a tub, and no very little about them

Answers
Likes acidic soil, so if potting up eventually, use ericaceous compost. Otherwise fully hardy but don't place in a position where it will get early morning sun in winter (east facing, unshaded, essentially) as this can cause bud drop and loss of flowers.
