I see it in a front garden when walking the dogs, it really is so lovely whether fully open in the sun, or closed like tiny lanterns:-)

I've had a look Bamboo, apricot beauty is 18" high, these are about 8" I think, but not very good at gauging size:-)

Ah....I think I know...it looks like a variety I have for the first time this year....tulipa batalinii " Bronze Charm"....I'll post a pic.

Thanks Alice, I'll look out for it:-)

Looking at it again after posting Apricot Beauty, I decided it wasn't anyway cos the flower form is different - this one's more the form of a Fosteriana or Greigii hybrid.

Okey dokey, I'll google those as well Bamboo, thanks:-)

I couldn't find any in the list of this particular colour, Bornagain - but there have been a lot of new introductions for Tulips over the years. Check Kaufmanniana types as well, could be one of those, more likely, the Greigii usually have speckled leaves.

The leaves of fosteriana and greigii are different Bamboo, I think Alices batalinii may be the ones, thanks for all your effort. If anyone has a moment to spare, I did put another, normal size tulip in 'questions' but got no replies and it's another I'm desperate to have, it's so beautiful:-)
