Just wondering if I've lost the Lily of the Valley I planted last year. Does anyone know if I should be seeing shoots by now? Thankyou

Its rather early to see the shoots yet. Give it a few more weeks yet, when Spring has sprung.

Mine aren't showing yet either, probably nearer the end of march early April depending on the weather and where you are in the country.

I'm in Berkshire (not the bit under water!) and not seen them yet, so it's a bit early

No sign of mine either - still time to glyphosate the celandines!

Thankyou to everyone who answered my question. Looks like it's a bit too early for the shoots at the moment so I'll take another look in a few weeks time. Thankyou all for replying so quickly!

Hi Ladyessex1, thank you for asking...... no I'm afraid nothing came up. My friend has kindly given me some more which I've put in pots so hoping they will be happy in there and come up next Spring!

I think it's one of those plants that either loves you or hates you.

Perhaps you were too kind to them. They are happy in a place with little sun and don 't seem to mind being dry. Mine do OK in a north facing spot which catches the wind up the side of the house.
