my dwarf apple tree on mm106 rootstock

Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Gb

i have just discovered my dwarf apple tree that was sold as 'a dwarf apple tree that can be grown in a container in the patio, will never grow taller than 6ft' is on mm106 rootstock. does anybody know, will it be ok to keep it in it's tub (tub can just be seen in the photo), and if so will this successfully restrict it's growth? also, if anyone has any advice they can offer regarding it's keep and how to keep it small it would be greatly appreciated. i am feeling somewhat nervous and a little disappointed having made this discovery!

On plant Malus domestica

mm106is sold as a dwarfing rootstock so you should be ok. Restricted root growth will also retrict the size of the plant.
