My tree did not flower last year and only got a couple of the huskd on. This year it has alot of potential flowers but the husks already look like they are dying. What has happened?

Bit early for flowering for this shrub - they usually flower in May. If yours has been unfortunate enough to try to flower now, they've probably got nipped by sudden drops in temperature (overnight usually) or cold winds. Otherwise its drought (though that doesn't seem likely, unless its in a pot)
