I have a white Camellia but the flowers are late in appearing and when they do
a lot come through brown. I have fed it with ericaceous feed and compost

Where is it, this Camellia? If its outside, the other thing to consider is does it get early morning sun (east facing position)? If it does, move it - early morning sun on buds which are covered with frost means the buds drop or go brown.
