cherries

My husband says try one.

Unfortunately I have already tried one, but it didnt really help me. They taste slightly bitter and sharp, but not awful.
Are there any other ways of telling?

If they are sour cherries, Morello type they will be a bit sharp compared to sweet cherries. We have the sour type in our garden and we still like them to eat raw, although many people don't and use them for cooking.
