Water it with tepid rain water, allowing the water to run through - never let the roots 'sit' in water and feed it once a month. You can buy orchid food at your Garden Centre. 'Mist' the roots occasionally. Keep it in light warm conditions, but not in direct sun, and don't close the curtains on it at night - move it off the sill!
