Our 'melly' took a real hammering over the winter, suffering badly from continued overnight frosts. It's looked pretty miserable in the past after cold nights, but managed to recover itself. I have cut all the dead/dying and miserable looking stems back, so what do you think its chances are now?

Where there's life, there's hope - it's not what's died back that's important, it's whether there's new growth, or any growth. It'll be fine.
