Hi No leave till spring , put the tuber (half buried) into a tray filled with multipurpose compost , and put in a sealed clear polythene bag and put in the airing cupboard or a heated propagator , wait for the shoots to grow about 1/2 inch if you have two shoots etc, cut each piece with a shoot on and dust the cuts with (flowers of Sulphur this will help it to heal over and stop any rot forming).
I would then pot up individually in to 4 inch pots and grow them on for a while but DONT over water thats what most people do wrong and keep warm.
