A few months ago I planted Euonymus Japonicus Aureopictus and Elaeagnus Ebbingei Elaeador. I ensured they were had the desired growing conditions. Some leaves on both plants are losing their variegation and are turning all green. Obviously I bought them because they were variegated. Is this normal and, if not, how can I prevent it?

Any growth that reverts needs to be pruned out, or the whole shrub will go back to green. Eleagnus are prone to producing all-green shoots, and I have several different variegated Euonymus which do the same. Just keep an eye open for it and get your secateurs out!
