I have a Sambucus nigra black lace, it has got a strange insect on it that I have never seen before, to look at it it is like a wood lice but smaller and bright green. What is it? Also what can I do about it.

I agree that it sounds like a Shield bug nymph (rather than adult). They are sap sucking but are pretty harmless considering their feeding habit.
