Alum Lily Problem

I have an alum lily that was fine when I bought it. Potted it with new compost into an 8-inch pot. Watered, etc, and yet it seems to be shrivelling up, slowly but surely. Its draining ok, the compost hasn't dried out. Any ideas? PS I'm in London

We have a lovely one in our pond! lanted in a pot just under the surface of the water. It dies back in the winter and comes up beautifully again in late spring. It grows every year and we have some flowers on it now. I'll try and get a photo of it on my album for you to see. The like semi shade and lots of water, don't let it dry out too much.

Do you have it in direct sunlight ?
