Anyone know what this is on our Diamond Jubilee Oak - I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination

its one of the oak galls or spangle gall. an insect has had a feed on the sap and this is the 'wound response' of the oak. the leaves next year will be clear unless they get another in.

should say another infestation. lift fallen leaves and put in council compost bin or burn them.
