Just bought some 'first early' seed potatoes, how long do they take to chit before putting them out into the 'veg patch'

Moon growers advice is quite right, set your potatoes up on end with eyes uppermost, keep them in a frost free place with plenty of light, damp over now and again. Get your plot ready, if you have a frost free plot you may be able to plant in the 2nd. week of March, but you must wait until the ground warms up.

3 to 4 weeks - which is fine too soon to plant right now :)
