Can an agapanthus change it colour? I bought a white flowering agapanthus with a variegated leaf some years ago that flowered only once. The plant was split a couple of years ago in the hope that that might encourage flowers. Nothing happened until this summer- and now I have a mauve/ blue flower about to burst into bloom. I'm just rather surprised at its colour.

is it still variegated? sometimes a seedling thrives and is a different colour. But this colour change does apparently happen probably due to genetic changes in the plant.
