You could try an all female variety such as Femspot or Louise I have grow these and they are not bitter as some the others or you could try something like crystal lemon/apple tried them last and they were nice. This year I am growing telegraph and Cucumber Carosello Mezzo Lungo (Cucumis melo) just for something different.

Thanks S. , I've never heard of Crystal lemon/apple but if I can find them I'll try them, and one of the others you mentioned next year.

I'm doing 'Minimunch' this year...excellent flavour and no prickles. last year I did 'Iznik', which were good as well, but rather prickly!
