My raspberries are dying working down the row..they get to fruiting then curl up leaves brown and die .there is new growth from the bottom do I dig them out or leave them

Hi Granada and welcome to GoY. Are the canes with the brown leaves ones you have already picked the fruit off? If so this is normal behaviour and those canes need to be cut down to the ground. Next year the new canes that are just growing will fruit and the cycle keeps repeating itself.
To be clear the cane grows in year one (and you will need to trim to keep to about 5 foot in height), fruits in year two and once it has fruited you cut it down.
