I have a hanging basket full of double petunias.
Plenty of buds but some of the plants have gone very leggy, can I cut them back to the base to produce new compact growth?

Yep, plenty of time. The trailing ones tend to become leggy if not pinched out early.

Yes, sorry to say I had that trouble last year, and was disappointed with the double ones.

I bought a hanging pot of petunias from Dobbies but they never lasted in fact all the plants went a sticky mass that I binned them.
