I have a nice lawn which is being used as a toilet by a cat --weeing only!. there are now several dead patches which I'm trying to restore.

Could you:-

1. Advise on how to stop the cat weeing?
2. Advise on the best method of repairing the lawn

Are you sure it is a cat? Dogs pee on lawns cats tend to dig little holes in your prize flower beds...

I agree. are you certain it is cats? there are about a dozen of cats routinely visit my garden and I've never seen one weeing on the lawn

if you have 3 -4 inch yellow patches it could well be chafer grubs.

Cats like to dig in soft ground in the flower or vegetable borders. As the others say it could be a bitch, pardon the expression, or do you have foxes in your garden? I you are suffering from a fox, they do say human urine sprinkled around the garden, will deter them. Don't get caught doing this though!!
