The leaves on my two climbing roses have shrivelled and become spiky rather than large and round. The plants are trying to throw out new shoots and there is the odd bud but both leaves and flowers are stunted. Any idea what the cause is?

Thanks. Took some of the leaves to my local garden centre. It appears I have overtreated them with insect spray - been advised to cut off all the mutated leaves and hope that any new shoots come through OK. Should know if this has worked by the Autumn.
