I have an any infestation on my cherry tree

The ants are there for the aphids on the young leaves. I bet the leaves are curling in places. Treat the aphids, the ants will leave

That a good reply, the only thing i'd add is to ask do you winter wash the tree?
If you do then this will help put a stop to this problem.
