Our Witch Hazel has leaf droop, it is quite a young tree and watered every evening. Is this normal?

The Witch hazel is in the ground and now the leaves are beginning to crisp, it looks like it is dying, there are some new young leaves but also look distressed. We water every night as we have had no rain for weeks and weeks. The ground is very dry and sandy.
