Trying to find the name for an evergreen shrub with white flowers in spring/summer and dark purple/black berries from autumn throughout the winter. Height approx. 4ft.

Could be one of many shrubs as MG says a pic would help if you have one or are you trying to think of the variety prior to purchasing it ? Virburnum perhaps Tinus ? might qualify as a suggestion or a place to start if you have no pics.

i'd go for V tinus too from the description. Have you any more snow BB? we have another 1/2" and it was -5 last night.
