I just planted 5 rose bushes about 3 weeks ago and I noticed that something is eating my leaves, but I can't find any critters on the bushes that could be the culprit, so it must be happening at night. Can anyone help me identify and purge what may be causing the damage in the photo of my roses? Thank you! Lynn

Looks like leaf cutter bees, they look as if they like the new growth.

that very circular cut is typical of leaf cutter bees as Lizziebee says.

Thanks so much! Do you have any recommendations for preventing them from chewing on my leaves, or do I just wait it out and hope that they don't do too much damage?

they wont be doing it for long. they roll a leaf into a tube and lay an egg into it. they bury the leaf often in compost in a pot. They are wonderful insects.

How do I say thanks?
