I would like to grow a lilac bush in a tub as I have very little space. Can anyone recommend a variety and have any tips regarding size of tub, pruning etc. please.

Dwarfest Lilacs are Syringa pubescens microphylla in different forms and S. meyeri Palibin. Dead easy, highly scented, pink to red, very hardy.

go for a dwarf variety and the biggest tub you can. they will need lots of water and feeding. I have a soft yellow one called 'Primrose'.
