I planted runner beans direct into the beds where there are to grow at the beginning of May but theres know sign of them yet....my peas are coming...anyone know where my runners are?

Maybe you could sow some more,just in case? I never had the space to grow them outside,so I had them in a deep trough in my growhouse..or in a pot with supports..maybe you could start some off in a warmer place,and then plant out ..when conditions are better...if ever !

I plant mine in pots under cover so that I know what I have got, and I only have a few of them up so far.

I think given this year's weather you have planted too soon. Start your beans off in pots in a cold greenhouse, that is what we do.

Ive just had a little dig through one or two of my runner beans and they havnt rotted and are starting to shoot....but ive started a few more off in small pots in the greenhouse just incase :)
