Can anyone help me please with what i can do with a lawn beyond repair, what options do i have ? can you lay new turf on top of old turf?

No you do have to remove the old turf first and do some preparation addressing any problems such as levels or poor drainage or the new turf will quickly look like the old turf. Also choose the correct turf for the job such as a hard wearing one if it gets a lot of use.
