We have just planted a grape vine in the greenhouse "Black Hamburg" it is in a pot and we have never grown one before so would appreciate any advise.

It would be better to have the vine itself planted in the ground outside the greenhouse and the growth brought into the greenhouse via an opening. If that isn't possible then you need to plant in the ground in the greenhouse itself. You prune in mid winter so will need to just let it grow for this year.

Thank you Moon growe,, would have loved to have grown it outside but it wasn't possible. Tried planting inside greenhouse but the builders rubble was a nightmare. In hindsight we should have realised the new lawn laid by builder was hiding problems. We thought we would see how it grew this year and if we didn't kill it off, bite the bullet and excavate inside greenhouse. Lots of things growing in greenhouse and the vine was an afterthought so excavating it just now is an issue.

Remember as a new vine it will need a lot of water to establish...
